Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to welcome you to the 21^st Israel Materials and Engineering Conference (IMEC-21), the largest conference on materials in Israel which will be held on February 21-22, 2027 at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem (Binyanei Ha’uma). Since its inception in 1981, this meeting has evolved to adapt to the rapid changes and developments which characterize the study and processing of materials and their applications. The rapid evolution of this field is seen in the inclusion of blossoming areas like  nanomaterials, quantum materials, novel energy materials, and applications of artificial intelligence, as well as exciting progress in more traditional fields like ceramics and metallurgy.   The themes represented in this meeting reflect the fact that there is barely an aspect of our lives that does not require exciting new materials and structures.

The structure of IMEC is meant to embrace all those responsible for advancing this fascinating field. This includes chemists, life scientists, physicists, engineers, archeologists, and other professionals. The conference strives to serve as a forum to promote a wide spectrum of interests from fundamental research in academia as well as in governmental and non-governmental institutions, to small and large industries, start-ups, policymakers, venture capital and other commercial interests. By gathering these entities together, the meeting aims to develop and strengthen the symbiotic relationships necessary for continued growth. This opens the prospect for collaborations and discovery of new interdisciplinary opportunities

The meeting includes exciting plenary talks of distinguished scholars from Israel and abroad, varied and wide-ranging parallel sessions, poster sessions, and a commercial exhibit showcasing the latest equipment, materials, and services available in Israel. The expansive venue will allow ample space for interaction and discourse.
